The man behind Elsasser's, Mike Cleary. Mike and his wife Liz had two sons, Dillon and Nick and moved to Tallahassee in 1991 to raise their family. Mike owned and operated Elsasser's Lock & Key, serving the greater Tallahassee area, for over 30 years. 
Mike was a family man with a strong work ethic, rarely missing a day of work. Mike loved deeply and expressed that love by sacrificially serving his family, friends, and customers. Most of his customers knew him for his sense of humor, dedication to his business and giving back to the Tallahassee community. Mike worked the business until the day he passed, April 9, 2024. The legacy he left can still be felt in the shop thru the original decor and FSU posters on the wall, along with his hard working staff. The shop will continue to be run by his family.
